So, just as a little follow up to the last prayer, Nolie threw this lil tidbit into the middle tonight. He was going along as usual, then suddenly he stops, opens one eye, and sneaks a sideways glance at me. Then, REALLY FAST, he yells "AN A CHOO CHOO TRAIN THOMAS!" and then looks back at me to see if I would do anything. I just helped him finish his prayer ... as I'm trying desperately to smother my laughter ... it was awesome.

(worried look on his face) Mommy, my car needs a mommy car!

Grateful ...

Preface: "budyear" = Buzz Lightyear; "Hen Fa'der" = Heavenly Father; and also, Nolan went to Toy Story 3 today. It clearly had an impact on him ...

Nolie's prayer tonight:
Hen Fa'der, 'ankyoo bessings, an budyear, an fam'ee, an budyear, had fun a'day (today), an budyear, seep good, an budyear, good dreams, and budyear, Jesus Christ, AMEN!

(In his Buzz Lightyear voice) Hewo mommy, I'm here a re'cue you! Now c'mon, I need a Chris'as tree!

Mommy, my foot a stuck in a mud! Oh no oh no! Oh boy oh boy!

(side note, he stood with his foot stuck in the same spot on the floor for LITERALLY almost 5 minutes! That is a long time for a 2 year old)

(Pushing on my clavicle) Excuse me, I need you to move. MOOOOOVE! (worried look on his face) Mommy, i's not workin!

Mommy, wook at your ears! Dey're bee-oo-tifow!

N: Mommy, I have somepin for you
M: Oh yeah? What's that?
N: Oh, jist a 'nugow wit mommy (snuggle with mommy =)

As I'm walking downstairs: "No mommy, GO 'WAY!" So after I give him "the look", he gets this angelic look on his face and adds "Pweeeeese?"

N: Hey mommy, you wanna pay trains on a fwoor wif me? It'll be fuuuuun!
M: You promise?
N: Of course! Check it out!

Nolan just pulled the plug in his bath. Now he's singing to his bathwater "go away, go away, go away ..."

me: Nolan, you're SO CUTE and I love you to PIECES!
Nolan: I know.

Curb your enthusiasm ...

"Mommy! Thomas (the train) a crashed into your eyes! Sorry Thomas!"

To random guy at the UPS store: "Hey, wanna ride in Nolie's car? Tink about it!"

BEST. JOKE. EVER.

Nolan: knock knock
Me: who's there?
Nolan: banana
Me: banana who?
Nolan: knock knock
Me: who's there?
Nolan: orange
Me: orange who?
Nolan: knock knock (grin slowly spreading across his face)
Me: who's there? (curiouser and curiouser)
Nolan: lion
Me: lion who?
Nolan: AHAhahahahaha (bent over double while slapping his knee repeatedly)

What a crack-up =)

Just listening to Nolan sing "Popcorn Popping" to himself in his bed right now, Steppenwolf style. The hiccups definitely add an interesting twist to the song. I think they're throwing him off as to when the song is actually over, he keeps singing the same lines over and over. Kind of like a record. That's broken.

As he's listening to a plane fly overhead: "Wook out cwouds! WOOOOOOK OOOOUUUUT!!!"

Nolan's impression of a robot: he stomps his feet really fast so his voice jiggles and he says "hewo mommy. My name's Nowie the wobot."

Nolie's favorite since he could crawl has been trains. He goes around the house all day saying "chu-GA chu-GA CHEW CHEW!" About every half hour or so, he'll make a stop beside me and say "need a wide mommy? All aBOARD!" That means I must hold his shoulders so he can "drive" me wherever I "need" to go =) Before we go anywhere, he makes the "ssshhhhhh" sound that trains make before they pull out. It's so funny to me how much attention to detail this boy has!

"Good job, mommy!" I'm really good at everything, he tells me all the time ;)

And my personal favorite right now, "Oh boy, oh boy!"
